History

Once upon a time, the Princess of the Silk Road was Turkish. Trade caravans starting from China and extending into Europe and England used this route. For this reason, those who wanted to trade on the Silk Road have to learn Turkish. It became the lingua franca of Chinese, Persian, Arab, Georgian and Armenian merchants.
The Silk Road is still active with new roads made with today’s techniques. It will be even more active in new ways in the near future. And Turkish will gain importance again on the Silk Road and in Eurasia.

Founded in 2024 by Professor Harun Duman, TURKISH WORLD EDUCATION & PUBLICATION (TUWEDU) aims to enrich the multicultural landscape of England. With many years of experience as a faculty member at Marmara University in Istanbul, Professor Duman brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for Turkish language and culture.
